MCG Case Study – Transaction Processing

A North Texas transaction processing provider handling 1000’s of checks per day wanted a system that would allow high volume processing with reduced need for operator input and very high reliability.

The solution developed and implemented by our MCG consultant achieved all of those goals. The system included automated check scanning and payor lookup so that once the MICR line of a check was read, the system could pre-populate data entry fields based on previous processing of checks from the same account. Overall, the system had a reject/research rate in the .01% range, unheard of in the industry!

The system allowed for customization of reports to clients of the processor. In addition, the system had the capability to generate backup DVDs incorporating client payment data and a self-contained database lookup engine so that the DVD could be used on any Windows PC without depending on any application being present on the system.
